I’d be willing to do an interview whenever you sort out your sound recording.

Regarding your videos, do you know your system specifications? I can make some recommendations, maybe, if I knew what your system could handle. The low framerate in ezvid makes action a lot harder to enjoy in the videos. It might okay in interviews, however, if you get that working.

    – Added /time day|night to coin commands, with unobtrusive transitions.

    – Split custom into two worlds (MCedit) for better permissions management. Those two worlds are now frog park (‘custom’) and development (‘dev’). While seven (unimportant) stargates in development areas were broken in the process, I transferred over all the appropriate regions, permissions, warps, and CH code. I didn’t leave a copy of the park in the dev world so players wouldn’t be confused. There’s still some things to do before we can take full advantage of this change.
    – Updated CH, Multiverse, and Craftbukkit.

    – Worked on custom mob spawners

    – Cleaned up some custom world stuff; we’ll probably move development stuff over to a separate world from intro/park.
    – Figured out how to instance mini-games in commandhelper. (could add this to Cluck, but it’s probably not necessary)

    – Thanksgiving and Christmas are important to my family and me, so these are my vacations. 🙂
    – Just the necessary responsibilities.

You can actually send your offline creations to me so that they don’t have to be rebuilt. I can import them in. We’re actually looking for concession stands right now.

    – Worked on Frog Park terrain — expanding, terraforming, and biome-changing
    – After the server down time, updated to 1.4.5 as well as a couple plugins
    – Experimented with mob spawns for future mini-games; mob gear not possible with plugin yet (have to use imported custom mob spawners), mobs riding other mobs IS possible. Might be funny to use in Cluck — add a bonus “something” riding a random chicken.

    – Lots of code refactoring and commenting
    – Worked more on a user-friendly workaround for shops selling items with special data; HATS!

    – Added “start-round”, “round-win”, and “game-over” note sequences to Cluck. I might tweak these later.
    – Play-tested, tweaked and imported a new obstacle course, The Eden Project, by the What guys.

    – Finished up Cluck 1.0 for single players. It now has a scoreboard, too, which I primed with some reasonable scores of mine. The difficulty is similar to what it was before, but not precisely the same. Any time I make a change that affects difficulty, I’ll be resetting the scoreboard. But I don’t plan on doing that any time soon. In fact, I’m going to put off 2-player so that I can get other things done.
    – Updated some plugins — dynmap, ch, worldedit. You can keep track of these updates in the future at http://finalscoremc.com/plugins/

Our workaround requires a manual restart into offline mode, unfortunately, and I wasn’t around. I wish the auth servers didn’t go down every month. I don’t know of any other game that has that bad of a downtime.

    – Worked on Cluck more. Some kind of issue is causing the two ranges to conflict with each other still. Can’t work it out. Will probably just make it a 2-player version, as that sounds more interesting anyway.
    – Updated craftbukkit to fix crash bug. (and a couple plugins)
    – Downloaded/uploaded world backups
    Nov 16th
    – Added a few more coin redemption shops, including glowstone, the new “wait” disc, and some splash potions.

If you read my giant list of things, you can see an updated progress on Cluck, among other things. It also has my todo list. If you want to weigh in on any of that, it’s a good thread to do so. You might even notice the + symbols next to my todo list. These represent ideas people voted for in the thread.

My plan with cluck is to have a two-player mode instead of two players playing two different games simultaneously (which was having issues). I think it’s more interesting. I think how I want to do it is that ONE player on either side needs to win their round for both to proceed. If both sides lose, then it’s game over. You’ll be able to go further in the game, probably, and it’ll keep two player scoreboards separate.

Skypirates requires my PVP scripting, which has only a few elements done. It’s next on my list of things, though.

    – Updated to 1.4.4 for Craftbukkit, and updated a few plugins along with it; Still a client crash bug due to a bad compression packet being sent from the server. This usually coincides with teleports and missing chunks.
    – Worked a lot more on Cluck, with a lot of help from Nefyoni. It’s getting very close to being ready. First I need to figure out why both can’t run at once. Then I just need a winning condition, rewards, costs, score, and random ocelots.

    – Finished up a good deal of Cluck. Chicken spawning, detection, killing — all works. Rounds work, and it scales up difficulty decently each round. It detects if player steps off pressure plates. It should support the two shooting ranges working simultaneously. Still more I need to do: rewards per round, fail/pass conditions for rounds and/or game, better messages and feedback, more play-testing.
    – Added spleef session protection to my /safereload (the thing that saves conversation and tp request sessions) so that it won’t reload if there’s a match in progress. (and some other little things like this)
