Can't log in

    Hello all,

    Looking to get on the server and cant seem to get past this error:

    connection lost
    Failed to login: java.net.unknownhostexception: session.minecraft.net

    To this point I have re-installed java & minecraft. I have tried several different versions of java. I modified my hosts file to include the server name. I run minecraft as an administrator and have even completely disabled my firewall to see if it was blocking the program. All to no avail.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    That sounds like the Minecraft session servers were just on the fritz at the time.

    What? Do you mean add an IP manually for the domain session.minecraft.net? Not a great workaround. But make sure its the correct IP! Man, your DNS provider should do this for you.

    thanks for the help. Ended up fixing it by flushing my dns cache and reseting my dns server
