I used the servercraft-generated maps. I copied, pasted and aligned each snapshot with Photoshop. (the laborious part) Then I converted each layer into a frame using the animation panel, making sure to adjust the frame times appropriately. Lastly I exported it as an animated GIF with pattern dithering for smoothness and transparency for reduced file size (for some reason). It’s 26 frames over the course of July 4th to August 14th. Every update is about one days worth of work.
Fab! I love it.
Would love to see more of these in the future.
How was this made? Is this complied from the past map releases?

I would definatly love to see more of these in the future. Or be given the maps etc to do similar etc for my own work.
Unfortunately the maps total to 5.18GB, and for just 50 days.
