What is a good list of [mods] on the client side? Or is there any that I shouldn’t use?

What is it that you want to do?
Rei’s Minimap is useful for an overhead view of where you are and directions.

That would be very useful! Alt-tabbing sucks. I saw on your videos that you guys can bring items to the bar on the bottom very quickly. Not sure if it’s a hotkey that I missed, or an addon/mod.

Moving stuff to your hotbar is just shift-clicking an item. Works also to move things to chests, etc.

Personally, I use MagicLauncher to manage mods in Minecraft; I use WorldEditCUI (even if you’re not an engineer+, handy for seeing region borders or doing measuring), What’s My Light Level (WMLL), OptiFine, InvTweak (sort inventory and chests, as well as swaps tools/stacks of items when something is depleted), and Mod Macros (put a lot of commands I use, such as /warp park, on a key).

Thanks for the list CoderJ! I was looking at a mod called Better than wolves. I am pretty sure it is only for single player. I want to try it out and just wanted to make sure it would not interfere with playing on the server. Anyone have any expierence with this mod?

Love BtW in single player! I use magiclauncher to manage it all. Waiting for BtW to be compatible with 1.3.1 then I will get lost in it again. The sounds wolves make when they dookie always makes me laugh.

Magnus, MagicLauncher or SK launcher (which I use) can manage multiple profiles of different mod setups. So you can switch between your singleplayer BtW mod and your multiplayer mod setup with ease. It takes a little bit of learning how it works, but once you figure it out it makes modding so much easier.
