    Heya all

    My son has been trying to connect to the server for a few weeks (he could connect ok before the 1.7.2 patch) but since the patch the server returns a “Java Exception connection reset by peer” error. He can connect to other servers no problem but mc.finalscoremc.com:25965 is a no go.

    User name is MiniDraig

    Is this due to incompatibility or a block/ban? or something else?

    Did you update to 1.7.2? We are still on 1.6.4.

    Yes he did upgrade, I assume the new patch is not backwards compatible then? or is there a way to “downgrade” to be able to play?

    You can downgrade through the launcher, when you open the launcher you will see “edit profile” in the lower left hand side. Click on that and you should see “use version” click on 1.6.4 and then save, should work after that.
